etopa® is in the business of finding eco-friendly solutions to help salons and spas grow and prosper in a competitive market.
the planet is a better place with us on it.
- as green as it gets. Our furniture is manufactured from environmentally-conscious and sustainable materials, like rubberwood, which we replant to reduce global warming.
- zero-waste. Our manufacturing process recycles all byproducts, meaning there is literally not one garbage dumpster at our plant.
- we support sustainability. From replanting forestry and supporting the cultural preservation of the Li and Miao people who build our furniture, we believe in leaving the world a better place than we found it.

etopa's environmental vision - at the heart of our vision lies heartfelt passions focused on helping you create a profitable, inspiring and functional space with attractive furniture.
We all have an impact on the earth and it's resources. At etopa we strive to nurture all aspects of this world - our customers, your clients and the environment in which we all live.
Environmental responsibility is not a luxury - it’s a necessity.
creating a sustainable supply chain- etopa uses recycled rubberwood found in Hainan, China. Rubber trees produce latex for thirty years and are then cut down. We are using the waste of industries that use latex to produce a fine line of furniture. The timber is removed and sent to a local facility in Hainan for processing. Once the trees are cleared, rubber tree saplings are replanted, creating a new forest and renewing the supply of the latex industry for another 30 years.
reducing global warming - Human industry activity is largely responsible for global warming, which threatens our oceans and atmosphere. Rubber trees, when planted 450 trees per 2.5 acres, are as effective in their ability to convert carbon dioxide into oxygen as a natural unharvested forest. In Hainan, our rubber trees are planted up to 600 trees per 2.5 acres, naturally lowering the air's carbon level and improving the quality of the atmosphere.
moving beyond zero impact - etopa partners with a local manufacturer, Double Dragon, so that the process of creating our furniture maintains a high standard of environmental integrity. The recycled rubberwood becomes furniture in a process that creates no waste. During construction, all by-products are recycled and reused. What normally cannot be reused and is discarded as waste becomes nutrients through a waste water treatment system. This eliminates the need for Double Dragon to keep even one garbage dumpster or waste facility on site.
sustaining communities - Hainan is home to the Li and Miao people, where rapid development jeopardizes the ability of indigenous people to survive by displacing the family unit. Replanting rubber wood trees, processing recycled timber and building a line of furniture in partnership with people of indigenous villages diversifies our future supply and support cultural preservation.
etopa is building a bridge between environmental leadership and smart business.
